Fredi Beleri’s lawyer, Eugen Gjyzari, was present at the offices of the Athens Bar Association, today, Friday.
Foreign media reports that the Chairman of the plenary session of the presidents of the Chambers of Advocates of Greece, Dimitris Vervesos, expressed to Beleri’s lawyer the support of the lawyer’s profession for the elected chairman of Himar.
He also announced that a delegation of the plenary session of the presidents of the Chamber of Advocates will be present during the discussion on the reconsideration of Beleri’s detention measure.

A meeting with the lawyer, Eugen Gjyzari,of the elected mayor of Himar, Fredi Beleri, took place today in the offices of the Chamber of Advocates of Athens. The lawyer provided detailed information about the ongoing detention of the president-elect and the general judicial course of the case. The chairman of the plenary session of the presidents of the Chambers of Advocates of Greece, Dimitris Vervesos, expressed the support of the lawyer profession to the elected mayor of Himar, as the basic principles of the rule of law and fair trial are being violated and emphasized the need for protect human rights and the rights of the recognized judiciary of the Greek minority. Further, he informed the president’s lawyer about the last decision of the Coordinating Commission, according to which a delegation of the plenary session will appear during the discussion on the re-examination of his detention. The meeting was attended by the legal adviser of the plenary session Lambros Antoniou and the lawyer of Athens Aris Katsalidas.
