Albania’s President Bajram Begaj issued a decree this Saturday, which includes the removal of ministers from their current roles and the simultaneous appointment of new ministers.
In specific terms, Begaj’s decree involves the dismissal of several ministers:
- Olta Xhaçka, who served as the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
- Evis Kushi, who held the position of Minister of Education and Sports.
- Frida Krifca, the former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
- Milva Ekonomi, the outgoing Minister of State for Standards and Services.
- Delina Ibrahimaj, the former Minister of Finance and Economy.
In addition to their dismissals, the following appointments were made:
- Delina Ibrahimaj was appointed as the new Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate.
- Ogerta Manastirliu, the former Minister of Health and Social Protection, has been designated as the new Minister of Education and Sports.
Further changes to the government lineup include:
- Igli Hasani, who is now the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
- Ervin Mete, taking on the role of Minister of Economy and Finance.
- Anila Denaj, the new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
- Albana Koçiu, appointed as the Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
- Arbian Mazniku, now serving as the Minister of State for Local Government.
These governmental adjustments were announced by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during the Socialist Party Assembly on September 4.
