About 35% of Albanian families do not have the opportunity to provide heating in their homes during the winter season.
In all the countries of the European Union, the ratio of families who are unable to keep their homes constantly warm is 9.3.
The data released by Eurostat show that Albania and the countries of the region face crises that are fueled on a large scale by poverty, a phenomenon suffered by 25% of the population.
In 2022, across Europe, the impossibility increased by 2.4 percentage points due to the uncertainties brought by the energy crisis that produced the Europe-Russia trade blockade. The situation was not the same everywhere, and high percentages, unable to keep the houses warm, were registered in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece with over 18%. Meanwhile, in countries such as Finland, Luxembourg and Slovenia, the percentage of families in difficulty was between 1 and 3%.
