Bulgarian vice-president in Albania for census, minority counted for first time

Population count also brings the vice president of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova, to Albania.

The process in Albania is considered of special importance for Sofia, because it will be the first time that Bulgarians living in Albania will be identified as minorities.

Bulgarian minority was recognized in 2017, while their official number will be determined by the Census that starts on September 18.

During her visit to Albania, the Bulgarian vice president will visit the areas where the Bulgarian minority lives, will visit the Bulgarian school in Elbasan and will meet with high officials, including the president Bajram Begaj
