President Bajram Begaj has announced significant changes in the diplomatic corps, relieving eight ambassadors of their duties and appointing seven new ones.
President Begaj’s decrees include the dismissal of Qemal Minxhozi from his position as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Kosovo, a resident ambassador.
Similarly, Saimir Bala has been relieved of his duties as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the State of Kuwait, a resident position, as well as his role as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Iraq, a non-resident ambassador.
Ilirian Kuka’s departure from the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Czech Republic, a resident ambassador, has also been approved.
Furthermore, Ilir Tepelena’s resignation as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Romania, a resident ambassador, has been decreed.
Pëllumb Qazimi has been released from his duties as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Slovenia, a resident ambassador.
Enkeleda Mërkuri has also been relieved of her role as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Slovakia, a resident ambassador.
Additionally, President Begaj has decreed the departure of Elida Petoshati from her post as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Kingdom of Denmark, a resident ambassador.
Shpresa Kureta has been released from her role as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Poland, a resident ambassador, as well as her position as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, and the Republic of Ukraine, a non-resident ambassador.
On the appointment front, President Begaj has designated Petrit Malaj as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Kosovo, a resident ambassador.
Ilir Hysa has been appointed as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the State of Kuwait, a resident ambassador, and also as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Iraq, a non-resident ambassador.
Ilir Tepelena has been named as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Czech Republic, a resident ambassador.
Begaj has also appointed Enkeleda Mërkuri as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Romania, a resident ambassador.
Oljan Kanushi has been designated as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Slovenia, a resident ambassador.
Mimoza Halimi has been appointed as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Poland, a resident ambassador, and also as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, and the Republic of Ukraine, a non-resident ambassador.
Lastly, President Begaj has appointed Sokol Dedja as the new Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Kingdom of Denmark, a resident ambassador.
