2023 has marked positive records for Albanian tourism. The Institute of Statistics has highlighted that during the month of July, the number of visitors increased by 39%, compared to July 2022.
The number of overnight stays has also increased by 48.2%.
According to data published by INSTAT, the number of resident visitors increased by 45.3% and the number of non-resident visitors increased by 35.2%.
Number of overnight stays by residents has increased by 60.9% and the number of overnight stays by non-residents has increased by 42.3%.
The center of the country seems to have been the most frequented, recording the highest increase with 70.5%. In Coastal Areas, this indicator has increased by 24.5%, compared to the same period of the previous year. The number of non-resident visitors who were accommodated in “Hotels and similar accommodations” has increased by 30.6%.
Experts have highlighted that in July 2023, the highest number of overnight stays was in the South of Albania with 39.5%.
During this month, the occupancy rate of “Hotels and similar accommodations” rooms is 44.8%, compared to 38.6% in July 2022. The occupancy rate of “Hotels and similar accommodations” beds is 49 .5%, compared to 40.9% in July 2022.
