Short film festival is taking place in Korça, where 35 films from 28 countries of the world are participating. The films deal with different topics and are mostly shot in different European countries. In Albania, this genre is not well known, while in different countries, authors who have starred in feature-length films have been part of these films.

“Every year the films are different, we don’t have a defined theme that we select, they are selected by quality. The variety is great, mainly from Europe. We have 35 films from 28 different countries and the film is the main one for us”, said Gledis Bica, director of the festival.

“The short film is still not very well known and perceived in Albania, we are used to the long film”, he added.

Lulzim Hoti, a screenwriter from Mitrovica, said that the international short film festival is the most important event not only for Korça, since such a large participation of creators is the greatest appreciation for this city.

Festival will last for 5 nights, where all productions will be shown. On the first night, the 10 most watched films in Germany that were not part of the competition were presented. From Tuesday onwards, 35 short films will be shown for competition.
