Less than ten days have left from the start of the new academic year at the “Luigj Gurakuqi” university in Shkodër, the problem continues to be the low number of registrations. In ten educational programs of this year, less than 5 people are registered, while the lowest number of registrations was recorded in the branch of law, where only 37 students were registered out of 300 free quotas.
These figures are published in this second phase of registrations on the official website in U-Albania.
So far, only 5 students have been enrolled in the language and literature program, 3 in journalism-communication, 4 in music pedagogy, 4 in geography, 2 in physics, 4 in Italian and German languages, 2 in geography and territorial development and 4 in guiding touristic.
Contrary to what has been the trend over the years, this academic year, only 12% of the quotas have been filled in the branch of law.
As last year, nursing branches remain the champions, having filled almost all the quotas in the first phase.
Although the government has put new measures for the departure of recent graduates, this has not stopped young people from choosing nursing as their safest ticket to the European Union.
Also preferred are the branches of the economy, where business administration leads with only 27 free quotas out of 105 and finance with 45 free quotas out of 100.
When there are only a few days left from the closing of registrations, many branches are still in danger of being closed at the University of Shkodra.
