In front of the Central Police Station in Pristina, tributes are being paid to the Policeman who died today in the line of duty, Afrim Bunjaku.
In his honor, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti together with members of the government cabinet lit candles.
In a statement to the media, Kurti described the attack as a terrorist and emphasized that the policeman was killed in a cruel manner.
“We were there to offer condolences to the policeman’s family and here with the lighting of the candle we add a little light for the great soul of Afrim Burnjaku who with his bravery and sacrifice changed the path of the state of law in Kosovo that does not back down before any criminal and the terrorist. We met his wife and three children, we met relatives who, together with us, shared the pain and sorrow for the policeman that Kosovo lost today. I thank the ambassadors of friendly countries who have joined us today in paying tribute. Glory to the Approach.
What is already known is that we have members of that foreign professional formation that carried out the terrorist attack that brutally killed Afrimi,” said Kurti.
