The senior adviser of the US Department of State, Derek Chollet, announces that he has held a conversation with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and with the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučič, after the terrorist attack on the police in the north on Sunday.
Chollet condemned the attack on the Kosovo Police and demanded that the parties return to dialogue.
“Spoke with PM Albin Kurti of the heinous attack on Sunday in Kosovo. Strongly condemned violence against Kosovo Police; expressed condolences on the loss of Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku. Both sides must return to the EU-facilitated Dialogue and implement Ohrid commitments,” informed Chollet.
The senior advisor of the US Department of State, Derek Chollet, informs that Vučič has asked to avoid actions that increase tensions for the escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo.
