Prime Minister Edi Rama said that by the end of December, Albania can reach 10 million tourists.

In the speech given at the activity where the balance of tourism was discussed, Rama said that until August Albania was visited by 7 million tourists, while September ended with 1.1 million foreign tourists and if December moves at a good pace, to reach the incredible figure of 10 million tourists.

According to the head of the government, the success of this season is a reason to feel proud, but also to face the responsibility that the high demands that will come next year do not turn into a boomerang.

“This season’s boom presented us with difficult challenges that we must address immediately. We should also all be aware, all levels of government and the business sector in tourism, that the risk that all this great tourism everywhere in the world this year will turn into a boomerang in the following years is real. We have many reasons to be proud of the work we have done and to feel rewarded for the efforts and patience to climb the ladder from a not very encouraging starting point”, said Rama.
