President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said on Tuesday that Kosovo is being attacked and that it is the victim of an act of aggression, after the attack by armed groups of Serbs on the Kosovo Police in the north of the country weeks ago.

On September 24, armed groups of Serbs attacked the Kosovo police in the village of Zveçan municipality, Banjska, killing Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku. In the ensuing exchange of fire, three more attackers were killed.

Five days later, responsibility for the attack was taken by Milan Radoicic, who was questioned today by the Serbian prosecutor’s office in Belgrade, but Osmani does not believe that Serbia will punish or extradite him to the Kosovo authorities.

“Obviously, the first thing we want is for [the Serbian state] to hand over Radoicic and other terrorists to the Republic of Kosovo, so that justice can be done in the country. “Serbia does not have a good history of justice in the country,” Osmani said on Tuesday for the American CNN television.

She emphasized that “there is no case when the criminals who committed war crimes and genocide in Kosovo and Bosnia have been brought to justice” in Serbia.
