President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, is not expected to meet with President Aleksandar Vučić during the two-day summit in Spain. The head of state has a condition.

“There is no reason to meet before sanctions are imposed on Vučić. Sanctions at first, and then we can talk about more”, said Vjosa Osmani at the entrance of the meeting in Granada within the framework of the European Political Community.

Osmani emphasized that the European continent and Kosovo in particular are going through difficult times.

“These are difficult times for Europe, especially for Kosovo since we recently faced an act of aggression from Serbia that was carried out by a group of paramilitaries and terrorists. I am here to ask for the support of European allies to impose sanctions on Serbia. This way they will not be encouraged to repeat such acts against Kosovo and its neighbors, again and again”, said Osmani.

Kosovo President added that she hopes that Spain – which does not recognize Kosovo’s citizenship – will join in the sanctions against Serbia.

The leaders of the European Union countries and about 20 other leaders of the countries of Europe and the Caucasus are participating in the Granada summit.
