The President of the European Council, Charles Michel stated that conflicts like the one between Kosovo and Serbia are a problem for the region and beyond.
Speaking from Grenada where the European Political Community summit is being held, Michel emphasized that conflicts are not only a problem for those directly involved in them, but according to him they are a challenge for the region and beyond.
He said it is the EU’s responsibility to guarantee peace, security and well-being.
“I believe that this platform of the Political Community can and should play an important role in reducing conflicts and helping to resolve them, especially… between Serbia and Kosovo, because conflicts are not only a problem for those who are directly involved, they are a problem for the region and for our continents. We must use this unique platform to build more trust, more trust between us, more peace, more stability, more predictability,” he stressed.
