Two days ahead of the decisive match against the Czech Republic, the Albanian national team held their press conference with Ylber Ramadani and Taulant Seferi in attendance.
The players analyzed the upcoming match, emphasizing that they should not underestimate their opponents and expressing their readiness.
Lecce’s midfielder Ylber Ramadani stated that the team has a winning mentality.
“We came here with the right mindset after finishing the game against Poland. It’s a very tough match, not an easy one, as the opponent is strong. They have conceded only two goals, but we need to enter the field with the right approach, without overconfidence, and give our maximum to achieve a positive result.”
Taulant Seferi, who is in excellent form, having recently scored with his club Baniyas, believes that Albania’s offense is the best it has ever been.
“I believe so, as we have scored many goals. I believe this is the best attack the national team has had. This makes me happy because competition makes the group and the team stronger. We hope that this healthy competition within the group will lead to positive results. When the national team scores, it’s something beautiful for us forwards. The national team is not made up by one department, but we are a group, and the team’s greatest strength is the group.”
In conclusion, there was also an appeal to the Albanian fans, who are expected to number more than 22,000 at Air Albania stadium.
“Of course, I would kindly ask them not to throw objects onto the field because we need them for the upcoming matches. They are our 12th player, and I think it would be good for them to always be with us. We don’t want to lose them because of objects thrown onto the field,” said Ramadani.
Albania faces the Czech Republic on October 12 in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The Albanian national team leads the group with 10 points, while the Czech Republic, who have one less match, are second with 8 points.
