Higher education reform experts, students, and academics from Albania and countries of the region gathered in Tirana to discuss within the framework of the Bologna process the possibilities to advance it at the national, regional and European area of higher education.
“We intend to gather several countries in the region, such as Kosovo, Montenegro, to discuss the challenges of higher education, how to cope and move forward in the context of internationalization, it is one of the events that is opening a new period to promote and advance the Bologna process”, said Linda Pustina, higher education expert.
This activity, which aims to increase information within the Bologna process, comes immediately after the meeting of the task force for increasing the sharing of knowledge in the community of the European area of higher education, in which the current status of the implementation of the group’s action plan and the next steps were discussed.
“Albania from 2021 to 2024 holds the secretariat of the Bologna process and its management in the position of “vice chair” and in this context the ministerial conference of all the ministers of education of the 49 participating countries will take place in the European space of higher education in May 2024 together with the global policy forum that will gather the education ministers of other countries from all over the world in Tirana”, said Linda Pustina, higher education expert.
Until May 2024, it foresees that a series of activities will take place with the involvement of the higher education community.
