President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has decided not to decree the candidate for chief state prosecutor, Blerim Isufaj.

Osmani stated that there was pressure from the prosecutors who asked her to sign the decree, otherwise would face investigations and files.

Candidate Isufaj was proposed for chief prosecutor in April.

After the rejection of the decree, the Prosecution Council can appeal the decision to the Constitutional Court, or it can propose another candidate.
