Albanian American businessman’s book reveals details on US and diaspora’s role for Kosovo

Yesterday in Tirana, was promoted the book of the activist of the Albanian issue, Ekrem Bardha, with title ‘E vërteta, pavarësia e Kosovës, Amerika dhe diaspora” meaning “Truth, Independence of Kosovo, America and Diaspora”. The book brings unknown facts about the contribution of the USA’S Albanian community to Kosovo.

“Facts that prove, the role played by the diaspora and America is not known or has been overshadowed, and it is a patriotic duty for me to prove how Kosovo’s independence was achieved,” Bardha said.

The book shows the efforts of the diaspora by the Albanian-American council, activists as patriotic hearth and their role to penetrate the American congress, the American senate, the talks with diplomats and obviously presidents whom author Bardha mentions in his book.

A book rich in memories. His work proves the difficult journey towards Kosovo’s independence and the role of the main protagonists of the Albanian diaspora in America.

The author of the book, Ekrem Bardha, is an Albanian American businessman, co-founder of the National Albanian American Council (NAAC), and former owner of Illyria Newspaper. He is currently serving as Albania’s Honorary Consul in Michigan and is regarded as one of the most successful Albanians in America.
