MEP and the rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, has stated to the Serbian media that Milan Radoičić should be extradited to Pristina, to be investigated in relation to the attack in Banjska.

According to her, the institutions of Kosovo are responsible for investigating and clarifying the truth in the event of September 24.

Von Cramon emphasized that EULEX and KFOR are “reliable international partners” who will monitor the investigations. According to the MEP, judges from the north of Kosovo will also participate in the judicial process against the perpetrators of the attack.

The MEP confirmed that the resolution foresees measures from Brussels institutions if Serbia does not allow the investigations.

“Serbia must cooperate to provide facts and data from the field. If Serbia fails to cooperate, if the investigation is not transparent, then restrictive measures will be imposed,” Von Cramon warned.

As part of the EU measures, the MEP said that the cancellation of high-level meetings for the Serbian leadership, as well as the termination of EU funds for infrastructure or measures affecting Serbia’s accession negotiations to the European Union, are under discussion.

Regarding Aleksandar Vučić’s meetings in China, she noted that investors from Germany employ 800,000 people in Serbia, while China has not opened any jobs in Serbia.

“If the decision is to go with China and Russia, then that’s fine too. We do not make this decision, this is definitely a decision of Serbia. But I still have hope and the impression that the leadership of Serbia is interested in giving the country an orientation towards the West”, said Von Cramon.
