President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, welcomed yesterday in a meeting the deputy and the chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, Alicia Kearns.

Osmani thanked Kearns for the extraordinary support shown to Kosovo and its people, as she also expressed gratitude for her commitment to raise awareness of the dangers and challenges that Kosovo and the Western Balkans are facing.

“The meeting with MP Kearns focused on the political and security developments in Kosovo, after the terrorist attack and the act of aggression of Serbia against Kosovo, on September 24”.

“President Osmani has informed the British MP about the challenges that Kosovo is facing and has emphasized the importance of unified international efforts to oppose such acts of terrorism and aggression, not only for the safety of the citizens of Kosovo, but also regional stability and beyond”, it is stated in the announcement of the presidency.

Further, Osmani told to Kearns that the investigations carried out so far by the local authorities, whith the fact that the investigations by the international partners are also continuing, prove that Serbia is behind the September 24 attack in Banjska in Zveçan, as it has demanded punitive measures against the Serbian state.

Kearns is visiting Kosovo at the invitation of the country’s president, Vjosa Osmani, as during the meeting she emphasized her commitment to continue supporting Kosovo.
