About 50 painters from all over the world have gathered in Korça to participate in the artistic colony “Days of Mio”, dedicated to the great painter Vangjush Mio.

51 painters, 29 of them from different European countries, part of the “Days of Mio” colony, have presented their works in the closing exhibition of these days. For the first time in the 13th editions of this colony, foreign painters from different countries have participated. They brought their works with autumn colors.

For the well-known coordinator Fatos Bylykbashi, it was not difficult to bring so many foreign painters to this colony this year. Even in conditions where most of them had not heard of Korça, just as they had no information about the colony.

For Korça, but also for the colony, the best words were said by foreign painters, even when they came to this city for the first time to join the colony of the great “Mio”.

“It’s the first time I’ve come to this colony, I’ve been to Albania before, but it’s the first time I’m participating in the painters’ colony,” said Jeff Roland.

“It was a privilege to be here, Korça has amazed me. I felt like home and the people were very hospitable” – emphasized Mishel Valcheva.

All the painters of this colony during the day of “Mios” have worked on two paintings, one of these paintings they have donated to the art gallery of this one.
