While the next session was expected to start in the Assembly of Albania, outside the premises of the Parliament a group of miners and former miners gathered to protest.

They have asked the politicians to keep their promises and not lie to the miners, but to approve their charter.

They called for a review of their pension, which, as they said, is too low and not enough to support them.

“The retirement age has been set at 65 when it should be 55. Why are you making fun of us? Give us our due charter. All the miners who have fallen on duty should receive a special pension because their families are suffering to live, while you get salaries of 3 million ALL”, said one of the miners.
