October 31 is the day where Halloween is celebrated. The day of the return of dead spirits, black cats, witches with brooms, so it includes everything that can be conceived as scary. In Albania, it has been celebrated a lot, especially in the recent years. But how is Halloween conceived this year?

Although it is not a holiday that belongs to Albania, there are still decorations on the streets of Tirana. Skeletons, straw, spider webs and pumpkins which are the symbolic elements of this holiday.

“From year to year there are different trends. Unlike other years, we have a transition from scary to something more subtle,” said Evis Kazazi, event organizer.

On the other hand, Halloween day for businesses has turned into a golden advertising opportunity for their activity.

I think that all businesses are trying to position themselves alongside this trend. Some offer the possibility of landing, may or may not be real, some others are part of the supply chain of garment. After all, the psychology of a business is to win,” explained journalist Deada Hyka.

The expenses incurred for this party, just for one night, reach more than 2000 euros.

The minimum for a Halloween decoration starts from 500 euros, they continue in numbers that are somewhere around 1500-2000 euros. There are more depending on the client’s requirements,” Kazazi said.

The evening is what reserves the surprises of this holiday. Youth choose to dress up as scary characters inspired by thriller movies or show biz character costumes.
