The joint exercise “Strong Balkan 23” continues as the Albanian Armed Forces and regional counterparts work together to enhance the readiness and capabilities of Special Forces in the Balkans.

Albanian Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi took to social media to emphasize that the primary objective of this exercise is to foster better cooperation among the Special Forces from eight Balkan nations during challenging operations.

Peleshi stated, “The ‘Strong Balkan 23’ exercise is in progress. Through joint tactical training, our troops are learning from one another’s experiences and improving their ability to collaborate effectively in complex operational scenarios”.

Notably, this marks the first time that Albania hosts the “Strong Balkan 23” exercise, with participation from Special Forces of eight Balkan countries.

This exercise is poised to bolster their professionalism, tactical skills, operational capabilities, and strategic preparedness to confront the intricate security challenges of today.
