The newest book by the author Ben Blushi, “Komploti” will be presented on November 15 at the Book Fair at the “Pegi” publishing stand. While two days ago, “Komploti” was presented in the “Dukagjini” bookstore, in Pristina.
A cross between reality and imagination, “Komploti” is the author’s first publication shared between two publishing houses, one in Kosovo and the other in Albania.
The topic addressed also finds itself in two dimensions; the book provokes the imagination between current events and their developments in the next two decades.
Author himself has revealed some details from the “Komploti” book, leaving the imagination open for anyone who is intrigued to know how the events in Albania and Kosovo in 2043 and 2044 will end.
The subject predicts that due to demographic changes, the population of Albania has decreased, while many foreign refugees have become part of Albanian society. They are mainly Afghans, but also Syrians and Iranians, located in the city of Shëngjin, whose population is increasing at a high rate, while Albanians are born less and migrate more. In the 2040s, foreigners become the majority and win the municipality of Shëngjin by electing an Afghan mayor. Due to the circumstances and the frequent change of Governments, this Afghan who marries an Albanian woman is elected Minister of Defense and this is where the ‘Komplot’ or the plot begins.
This Afghan, i.e. the Minister of Defense of Albania, decides to liberate Kosovo, which due to the change in circumstances is partially occupied by Serbs who have been encouraged by Russia’s advance in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. To prevent the liberation of Kosovo from the Afghans, three Jews who come together for different reasons, weave a Plot or in albanian ‘Komplot’.
“Komploti” is a book that, as can be seen from the preliminary description of the author himself, stimulates the reader’s imagination and reflects an intriguing dimension of the near future, always in the framework of imagination.
