Residents of the river area of ​​Vlora have organized a protest in the center of Drashovicë village.

They have blocked the road in protest against the taking of Shushica’s water, diverting it in different directions to supply water to coastal areas.

Residents say that they are not against the development of coastal tourism, but they cannot be left without water.

Environmentalists from Tirana and Vlora also joined the protesters.

Environmentalist Sazan Guri said that the government can use the waters of Borsh, which according to him are wasted and cannot leave the residents of the Vlora River without water.

This is the second protest held and according to the residents, no reaction has come to stop what they called a natural massacre.
