Albania has been elected a member of the UNESCO executive board for 2023-2027.
The news was announced by Foreign Minister Igli Hasani through a post on the X platform.
“Good news from Paris: Albania has just been elected a member of the UNESCO Executive Board for 2023-2027. We thank all the member states that entrusted us with this important responsibility and look forward to working closely with all the members of the Board, in the spirit of dialogue and consensus. In a world torn apart by multiple crises, we need more than ever to invest in peace. UNESCO’s role is more necessary than ever. Kudos to Ambassador Besiana Kadare and AlbanianDiplo for the excellent work”, writes Hasani.
