Albanian Interior Minister signs cooperation agreement with Moldova

Interior Minister Taulant Balla has started an official visit to Moldova.

Taulant Balla held a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Adrian Efros, where they signed an agreement on police cooperation between the two countries in the fight against organized crime.

During the meeting, Minister Balla and his counterpart Efros agreed on deepening the existing cooperation between two countries in all matters of common interest. We discussed the long-standing aspiration of our two peoples to join the European Union and the willingness to intensify the exchange of experiences within the framework of the reforms undertaken during the European integration process.

“The agreement signed today between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on police cooperation is an important step to increase joint police operations and address important issues such as cross-border crime, the fight against organized crime, trafficking of narcotics and human beings in order to increase the security of our citizens.

During the meeting, we also discussed the long-standing aspiration of our two peoples to join the European Union and the willingness to intensify the exchange of experiences within the framework of the important EUROPOL or INTERPOL mechanisms”, stated Balla in his speech.
