The National Cultural Week is the concluding week of the International Cultural Weeks program, which, in this second edition, brought hundreds of activities and artists from around the world to Albania throughout the year.

“The National Cultural Week comes with a program that carries the Albanian spirit that sings, dances, and creates. Days full of emotions and unforgettable events await you,” says the online page of the Cultural Weeks.

Browsing through this week’s program, highlights include the artistic activity “The Journey of the Flag”, which will convey the joy and pride of the holidays through a performance by “Fanfara Tirana” and various artistic groups. The activity will take place near the University of Arts, in the outdoor amphitheater, on November 22.

Meanwhile, tonight, at the “Petro Marko” Theater in Vlora, the Ensemble of Songs and Dances “Deçani” will perform.

On November 24, an award ceremony is scheduled for the writer Ismail Kadare by the Municipality of Gjilan. On the same day, singer Shpat Deda will have a concert at the Orthodox Cathedral.

The program for these festive days also includes exhibitions, film screenings, concerts at the Opera and Ballet Theater in Tirana, open lectures on the Albanian language at the “Sotir Kolea” Center, the promotion of the book “Imaginary Encyclopedia-Postroman” by former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Bajram Kosumi, and many other activities that will extend until November 30.
