In the “Arena Egnatia” stadium, where the “Abisnet Superiore” league football match was taking place, between the Egnatia and Partizani teams, in the 23rd-24th minute, the footballer of the Egnatia team, 28-year-old Raphael Dwamena, lost his life while playing due to early heart problems.

One of the citizens of Rrogozhina says that Dwamena was very smart and communicated with all the people, even greeting them in Albanian.

“He may be one of the most accurate people who learned Albanian very quickly and communicated very normally. The community feels extremely bad. It was an unexpected event for the residents here in Rrogozhinë,” said the citizen.

It was the third time Dwamena had passed out on the pitch in his entire career.

His heart problems were identified by doctors in England when he underwent medical sessions to become part of the Brighton team.
