November holidays in Albania have started to be celebrated differently from year to year. The recent trend is to buy a popular costume of the respective provinces.
Diaspora Albanians are the most loyal ones, who want to have a part of Albania with them in the countries where they live.
“I have been in America for 8 years, I was looking for traditional things that the Albanian state has, everything that has to do with our nation, these things that you cannot find in America or in any other country. I have taken a lot of things in America, eagles, bottles and I want something that will live long,” said a citizen.
From America, to Canada, to distant Australia, Albanians seek to preserve the tradition even though in a foreign country. Those who did not have the opportunity to travel for the holidays of November 28-29, made the costumes to order.
Folk costumes were also noticed in the Albanian parade, which was held on November 28, where each province had chosen to present itself with its traditional clothing.
