Korça has turned on the decorative lights, thus getting ready to welcome thousands of vacationers from all over Albania and not only  for this holiday season.

Thousands of citizens from all over Albania gathered in the pedestrian area of ​​the city to enjoy the festive atmosphere and the concert organized by the City Hall.

The head of this municipality told the media that every day of December will be organised an event, while there are dozens of cultural activities planned for this period.

“Korça today turned on the lights of the end of the year holidays, it has become a tradition that we organize this festive evening to precede the whole month of December and all the celebrations that take place in Korça during this month. In addition to the atmosphere, we will have a very busy calendar with various artistic and cultural activities, in the theater, in some of the public spaces, in the Old Market, it will be a month when Korça will return to the capital of holidays for the celebration of Christmas and the new year to welcome thousands of tourists who choose Korça as a destination”, said the mayor Sotiraq Filo.

In Korçë, Voskopojë and Dardha, there are about 4200 places of accommodation, places that tourist operators say are almost all booked this December.
