The court hearing against the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, has been postponed until December 19, at the GJKKO (Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime).

The postponement of the session came after Beleri refused to testify as a defendant in the courtroom, claiming that he has no faith in justice.

According to Beleri, the Prosecutor’s Office has been one-sided, not accepting any of their requests.

“I have no faith in justice. The prosecution has shown itself to be one-sided, it has not accepted any of our requests. There are falsified documents in the file,” said Beleri.

During the court session, 2 testimonies of Abdyl Rama, the brother of the associate justice, Arsen Rama, were also read.

Fredi Beleri is in custody on the charge of buying votes for the local elections of April 25 of this year.
