An Albanian will serve for the first time as a judge in the New York Civil Court. Edit Shkreli on November 8, in a ceremony attended by leaders of the New York state judiciary, senators and the Ambassador of Kosovo to the USA.
In the ceremony held according to the American protocol for the judiciary, there were also Albanian symbols. The soprano Dëshira Krliu sang the Albanian anthem, while the flag of Albania and Kosovo is not missing in the hall.
Edit Shkreli completed law studies in New York in 2011. She has been working in the American justice system for eight years. As part of her academic commitment, she is part of the teaching staff at the University of Law in New York.
In addition to being involved in the American justice system, Shkeli is also active in the organizations of the Albanian community living in the USA.
