The Assembly of Kosovo has approved the law on the budget for 2024, in an extraordinary session on Thursday evening, which was abandoned by the opposition.

Out of 64 deputies present in the hall, 63 voted pro, while one abstained.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, thanked the deputies for supporting the draft law on the budget in a reaction on the social network Facebook immediately after the vote. The bill was approved in first reading during a session in November.

“Even this year, for the third time in a row, the budget is approved in December as it should be,” Kurti wrote.

The draft law was approved by the Government of Kosovo on October 31, while the anticipated budget amount is over 3.3 billion euros – from 3.2 billion this year.
