Albanian President Bajram Begaj called on the Albanians of the Preshevo Valley, including Preshevo, Medvegja, and Bujanovac, to actively participate in the elections in Serbia.

In his message, Begaj emphasized that Sunday’s elections are a crucial moment for their political representation and the protection of their rights.

According to the President, “only through massive participation and the selection of your candidates can you achieve this”.

“Hoping for a democratic process, I encourage you to participate in the voting and choose your preferred candidates who will represent you in the future Parliament,” expressed the Head of State.

Even the Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, urged Albanians in the Valley to demonstrate unity and massive participation in the elections.

“On Sunday, December 17, the Albanians of the Preshevo Valley will vote to elect Albanian deputies to the Serbian Parliament. I invite them to demonstrate unity and massive participation in the elections,” Hasani wrote on social media.

“Vote for Albanian candidates, as this is how you will vote for your better future, in defense of your rights, preservation of national identity, and European orientation,” emphasized Hasani.

“Do not hesitate, maintain unity, and prioritize collective interests over party interests,” Hasani underscored, wishing success to the Albanian candidates.

Two lists representing the Albanian minority are participating in the Serbian parliamentary elections on Sunday.
