Driving by minors has become one of the main causes of serious accidents. During this year, the police found 289 cases when vehicles were driven by persons under the age of 18.

During the year 2023, there were not a few cases when minors driving a car caused road accidents, and in some cases with fatal consequences.

So far, the police have found 289 minors driving a car. Meanwhile, 29 accidents were caused by these drivers.

Most of the children who have been caught by the police at the wheel have taken their parents’ car. According to the data released by the police, it is learned that for any vehicle owners who have allowed minors to drive, the cases have been referred to the prosecutor’s office and administrative measures have been taken.

In Saranda, in the summer of 2023, a 17-year-old, driving a vehicle, fatally crashed into a couple of tourists who were riding a motorcycle.

The most recent case was in Saranda, where 3 minors were traveling in a car driven by a 14-year-old. The accident resulted in the death of the 14-year-old who was a passenger in the car.
