A well-known Greek businesswoman, Dimitra Katsafadou, has fallen prey to a major theft.

According to the Greek media, the theft occurred on February 17, 2023 by the assistant of Dimitra Katsafados, a 32-year-old from Albania. According to what she reported, the 32-year-old stole the sum of 290,000 euros from the well-known businesswoman from her residence in Northeast Attica.

Then it turns out that the author, after grabbing the amount of money, left the country, where she was located and arrested in Great Britain. The 32-year-old apologized and was released on bail. The catalyst for this case was the testimony of Dimitra Katsafadou’s housekeeper, who described how she saw the defendant holding two green garbage bags, in which she had placed 290 thousand euros. “When I arrived home, a silver-red car was parked outside and an unknown man was talking on a cell phone outside the vehicle. I asked him why he was here and he answered that he was waiting for the accused”.

“I then entered the house with my keys, but at the door I met the accused, who was holding in her hands green bags similar to those used to hold the company’s sum of money. She gave these bags to the unknown man who was waiting in the car.”

A person from Dimitra Katsafadou’s family has stated to the Police: “The defendant has been an employee of the company and a confidant of the victim for about two years. Although she took care of the house and lived in rotation, she had no keys to it and was not tasked with doing much about managing the company’s money. But she knew about the locker where the money was kept inside the house and the location of the key that opens that locker.”

What does her brother say?

Speaking to MEGA, Dimitra Katsafadou’s brother, Nikos Malakodimos, emphasized that he filed a lawsuit on the same day the theft was discovered. “The label came to take fingerprints, they saw that the amount of money was missing. She was found crossing the border on the same day in Albania”, said Mr. Malakodimos.

“Those are money that exists in a company and are deposited in banks, because they come from the retail sale of the company,” he added.
