The spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, has said that the measures against Kosovo will continue to remain in force until the moment when sufficient positive steps will be taken.

“As for the measures, of course we are following the situation closely every day. We have people on the ground and we have dedicated our efforts and attention to see what is going on,” Stano said.

The Government of Kosovo was notified of the EU measures on June 28 and they entered into force at the beginning of July. They were imposed due to non-fulfillment of the conditions of the EU and the United States for the extension of the situation in the north of Kosovo.

Furthermore, he added that the next meeting between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will be at any time when there is a will and when there is an agenda for it.
