The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, on the proposal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, decreed this Friday the dismissal of Elva Margariti from the position of Minister of Culture, as well as the dismissal of Ervin Metes from the position of Minister of Finance and Economy.

Also, the President of the Republic appointed Ervin Meten to the position of Minister of Finance and Blendi Gonxhen as Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation.

The decision to create a new ministry, which will include economy, culture and innovation in a single department, was made public on Monday by Prime Minister Rama.

The head of the government described the changes as a strategic need of this new phase of development, creating a new ministry which will unite the parts that currently function separately in the respective ministries of Finance, Economy and Culture.

Rama emphasized that the former director of DPSHTRR (General Directorate of Road Transport Services), Blendi Gonxhja, will be placed at the head of this ministry, due to his previous performance as a manager.
