Minister of energy and infrastructure, at the same time the country’s deputy prime minister, Belinda Balluku, announced this Monday the opening of the 300 MW Hybrid Photovoltaic auction, which will be a new source for energy production in the country.

Balluku has described this as a historic and golden moment for Albania’s economy, while calling on Albanian and foreign companies to participate in this auction.

“Today we are in a historic moment, a golden moment for the Albanian economy. It costs the Albanians 24 hours of delay.

There will be no postponement of the deadline. I appeal to all Albanian companies that have capacities and to all foreign companies that have already proven the commitment of the Albanian government, the commitment of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the transparent way in which we work with the guarantee of EBRD and Seko experts to participate in this auction, where the production floor is 10 megawatt hours, while the ceiling will be 100 megawatt hours.

You can also compete with different projects. The price is 59.97 euros per square meter and the auction starts immediately”, said Balluku.
