The Special Appeals Court will announce tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. the decision regarding the request of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha to change the house arrest measure.

Berisha requested, through his lawyers, a change in the security measure while being under house arrest since December 30 of last year.

Berisha also seeks to determine the modalities for moving from home to the plenary session hall and the necessary time to carry out this movement, solely to participate in the plenary session hall where the Parliament conducts its proceedings.

The court session in the Special Appeals Court for the appeal of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha began today at 9:00 a.m., where the lawyers requested the lifting of the house arrest measure for the former prime minister.

Two days ago, Berisha filed a complaint in the Special Court and, through his lawyers, requested the annulment of the SPAK decision that did not grant him special permission to attend parliamentary sessions every Thursday.

The appeal was submitted by his lawyer Sokol Mëngjesi.

Former Prime Minister Berisha appeared yesterday for the first time at SPAK, where he was questioned as an accused of passive corruption related to the privatization of the former “Partizani” complex.
