Constitutional Court has partially accepted the request of medical students against the government that forces them to stay in Albania after their studies for 3-5 years.

The court has decided to compel the Assembly to make new legal acts for the deadlines within 3 months.

The constitutionalist considers the deadlines set by the government to be harsh, so it decided to abolish the 2, 3 and 5-year deadlines.

According to the Constitutional Court, the deadlines are not proportional to the public interest.

The constitutionalist says that has seen other countries and the term does not exceed 3 years.

According to the government, this law done to prevent the departure of young doctors from Albania, but this decision was not accepted by the students, who have held several protests since the start of the academic year.
