The Institute of Statistics will postpone the publication of the data until further notice.
In a statement, INSTAT says that this postponement of data publication is due to a cyber attack that affected some of its systems on January 31.
INSTAT assures the public that the 2023 Census data are not the subject of this attack.

The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) announces to the public that due to a cyber attack that affected some of its systems on January 31, 2024, it will postpone the publication of official statistics until further notice. The cyber attack which aimed to damage the data of INSTAT has caused the internet services of the official website and email to be interrupted. INSTAT assures the public that the 2023 Census data are not subject to this attack. INSTAT’s technical team immediately activated emergency protocols to protect data and prevent further damage.
INSTAT will continue its statistical activity and will use alternative means of communication such as the email address [email protected] and the official channels of social networks, Instagram and Facebook.
INSTAT apologizes to the public for this momentary inability to provide services caused by this incident and assures the public that it is working intensively to restore its services as soon as possible. INSTAT will announce the new publication dates and thanks the users, partners and especially the experts of the National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security (AKCESK) for the help and their continued support during this period until all INSTAT Information Technology systems are fully operational.
