The Albanian Government, through the National Agency for Territorial Planning, aims to establish EXPO ALBANIA, a multifunctional center for exhibitions, fairs, meetings, concerts, events, recreation, and logistics.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced today through a social media post that the call for the first phase of the international competition for architectural projects for EXPO ALBANIA continues to be open until February 12, where every professional can respond to this call by submitting the appropriate proposals.

“EXPO ALBANIA is conceived as a multifunctional exhibition center expected to significantly increase the visibility of Tirana and the entire Albania as a destination for organizing fairs, trade exhibitions, large-scale meetings, and other events, further consolidating the capital’s reputation as a crucial hub in the region and internationally,” stated Rama.

This competition aims to gather proposals for realizing this vision through innovative and far-sighted design ideas that manage to harmonize a blend of programmatic requirements while maintaining sufficient flexibility to enable alternative uses.
