The new road that is being built, which will connect the tourist village of Dardha with that of Sinica, is expected to bring tourism development to the villages of Upper Devoll. This is a long-standing request of the residents of this area, which is being implemented recently.

The improvement of the road infrastructure of the Upper Devoll villages has not only brought back a part of the residents to these villages, but has also increased the attention of local and foreign tourists.

In order to make the connection of these villages with the Dardha area as accessible as possible, the Albanian Government is investing in the Sinica – Dardha road.

The residents of Sinica say that this road has been their request for several years and they expect it to stimulate tourism.

“This road is very important and things have changed for better. The road brings development, space for residents,” said one resident, while another added: “We expect an increase in tourism in these areas. I believe they are starting to come back, they are building new houses and foreign tourists are increasing.”

The deputy mayor of the municipality Devoll said that the completion of this road axis will bring more tourists to all these villages that in recent years due to the lack of the road have not only had few tourists but also fewer residents.

A constant demand of the residents but also of the tourist operators, since Upper Devoll has great attractions and these roads have not been visited due to the lack of infrastructure. These segments will make it possible that all the tourists who came and stayed in Dardha will have more accessible villages of Upper Devoll”, Zerina Sinani, deputy mayor of Devoll municipality.

The villages of Upper Devolli are part of the administrative unit of Miras and the villages with an urban infrastructure and in particular characteristic houses that remain sought after by local and foreign tourists.
