The President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel, reacted after the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in Brussels, clarifying the discussions between them.

He said that they talked about the path that Albania is taking towards the EU and about the support that the Council of Europe will offer. In his status, he said that the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU.

“With @ediramaal, we discussed Albania’s path to the EU and our support along the way. The future of the Western Balkans is in the EU. I also welcomed the initiative to host a Western Balkans-Ukraine regional summit in Tirana. The EU is grateful for the support of Albania and the region for Ukraine”, writes Charles Michel.
