The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, on the occasion of February 17, Independence Day, received a congratulatory telegram from the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.

In his letter, President Mattarella has said that Italy will stand by Kosovo in the consolidation of democratic institutions and its security.

Earlier it was the American president, Joe Biden, who sent a congratulatory letter to the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of independence.

In his letter, Biden emphasized that the US supports a multi-ethnic Kosovo integrated into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.

The US president has also said that the United States supports dialogue facilitated by the European Union to reach a comprehensive normalization agreement with Serbia as a step forward towards eventual mutual recognition.

Biden has requested that Kosovo fulfill all obligations in the dialogue, including those from the past that were reached within the dialogue.
