Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama will undertake a working visit to Ankara, Turkey, where he will be welcomed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Prime Minister Rama’s first stop will be at Anıtkabir, the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.
Following a special welcoming ceremony to be held at the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, Prime Minister Rama and President Erdoğan will hold a bilateral meeting.
Subsequently, Prime Minister Rama and President Erdoğan will chair the High-Level Cooperation Meeting between the two countries, with the participation of several ministers from their respective government cabinets. At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister Rama will deliver a welcoming speech.
As part of further strengthening cooperation between Turkey and Albania, several bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of environment, defense, media and communication, etc., will be signed.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prime Minister Rama and President Erdoğan will jointly issue a press statement.
Accompanying Prime Minister Rama as part of the government delegation are Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku; Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani; Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi; Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj; Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu; Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu; as well as Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro.
