Formula 1 is the most important championship in Motorsport. Sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), it represents the highest level of racing since it began in 1950.
A Formula 1 season consists of a number of races, known as Grand Prix, held in different countries and continents, on circuits built for this purpose, as well as on public roads closed to regular traffic. The Formula 1 World Championship announces two champions at the end of the season: one for drivers and the other for constructors. The first race in history was held on May 13, 1950, at the Silverstone circuit in England, and the first champion of this race was Giuseppe Farina, who at the time was driving an Alfa Romeo.
Formula 1 comes to Euronews Albania in its 74th season, with a rich history on the track and beyond. Over the past 73 years, drivers and constructors have won and dominated thanks to innovations season after season. The results, protagonists, technological and technical developments will come through special chronicles that will be prepared and broadcast not only on the event’s weekends but also during the weekdays in the sports news editions on Euronews Albania.
